Most schools buy tickets to give to students, the difference in case you cant see it is.
Mizzou 2700 sold - 1000 for students
USF 3600 sold -1000 students and we still have THREE weeks to go.
USF tix manager mentions that:....their allotment of 8,000 tickets, with "just over 3,600 tickets" accounted for according to senior associate athletic director Bill McGillis, including the 1,000 seats given to students."
That sounds like "accounted for" includes:
500-600 official university traveling party (including team, coaching staff and families, plus "friends" of the University and administration officials/families, etc...which is "norm" for any school).
300 plus for USF Band and staff
1000 free student tix
1,600 tix sold to USF fans and boosters
------
3,600 tix "accounted"
Sounds about right.

I am shocked that Central Florida fans would turn a South Florida thread into a pissing match. Absolutely stunned.

LOL Is amazing how you are so "in" with our athletic department that you know exactly what the ticket break down is.
So tell me when OSU told the Sun Bowl we are bringing around 3500 that number meant what? No band, no families etc?
Here is a tip for you the 1000 students tickets will NOT all go to students from what I heard from a REAL athletic department person was that the 1000 student tickets will be alloted for students, band and families because in reality only about 250 students took advantage of the deal because of the cost of the trip.
So you might want to "redo" your UCF obsessed math in reality there have been over 2600 tickets BOUGHT by season ticket holders.

Which is logical. A lot of people confuse a schools fans with their students. The vast majority of fans ARE NOT students. There are fans, and then there fans who happen to be students. So it would make sense that students would have a hard time making the trip considering the location and time of year. And do you think students go alone? Of course not. Family and friends are going. And student tickets doesn't solely mean students got it as Cuban put perfectly. I give money to Cincinnati thus if there are student tickets left unclaimed after a certain amount of time, they're going to people like me first as far as having a chance to scoop them up. The administration will also keep tickets and distribute them. Student families and friends have access to tickets as long as the students let them. Boosters and the like also have access to these tickets, as well as band members and cheerleaders and people that like. That is common procedures for universities. So anyone who thinks that it's students who get their tickets on one side and everybody else doesn't know the situation at all.

I just don't understand why UCF fans think they have any right to talk any smack to USF fans. The Bulls are in a prestigious bowl and scored over 60 points on UCF this season.......

B/c smack is all they have. they can't beat on the field, court, diamond, pitch, etc...
USF owns UCiF in every sanctioned NCAA athletic competition.
USF should have run up the score on them....
