RE: What rivalries should be reinstated?
I have not seen any writings that showed that ND wanted to join the ACC for football. I have seen writings that showed that one of the high level Administrators at NCSU had some kind of connection with high level administrators at ND, but the writings were not clear on what this relationship represented. In any event the ND to the ACC was clearly nonsense, and IMO that rumor was designed to offend BC into not joining the ACC. It didn't work, so I am left to conclude that BC and BE must have really been on bad terms, in order for BC to take that insult and still join the ACC.

Finally, apparently the ACC has not finished insulting BC; so I think that it is only a matter of time before BC leaves. If you go to the Clemson's page on Scouts.com, you will see that the BC and Clemson fans had a few words for each other when Clemson decided to accept the ACC's second best bowl (the Peach bowl), instead of deferring and allowing BC to take it. Apparently the Peach Bowl officials did not want BC (who had finished second in the ACC), because they did not think that BC could sell their alloted tickets. The Peach Bowl officials instead chose Clemson (who had finished third in the ACC). BC had to settle for the Champs Sports Bowl, which is the ACC's third best bowl. It goes without saying that BC's fan support was dismal at that game as well.

In any event the BC fans on the chat board advised the Clemson fans that Clemson should have turned down the Peach Bowl out of principal. The Clemson fans told the BC fans to go take a flying leap, because BC has shown that their fans do not support their teams activities. In fact all of the parties on the board, including the BC fans, eventually conceded that short of winning the ACC and getting to the Orange Bowl or BCS Bowl; the only other bowl that BC would be regularly attending would be the Humanitarian (Boise) Bowl. Now that is an insult!!! Wow, think about that for a minute. In the future the best bowl that BC could possibly get, would be the Boise Bowel. All that I can conclude is that the BE and BC must have really disliked each other, if BC has determined that they receive better treatment in the ACC.

I could give a sh!t about ND. They aren't a traditional football rival to any Beast members - and MT would give too much away to get them into the conference.

All ND has been so far is a blood-sucking parasite. The BEast needs ND like it needs a hole in the head. 01-wingedeagle
