Stay on topic Shirley, even those this thread has gotten so far off topic as to be unrecognizable.
I'm done with this one

You're making this up. At least try to stay in the realm of reality.
Then:
"There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed." (27 September 2002)
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." (27 September 2002)

Now:
"There was no imminent threat. This was made up in Texas, announced in January to the Republican leadership that war was going to take place and was going to be good politically. This whole thing was a fraud."
" It's now clear that from the very moment President Bush took office, Iraq was his highest priority as unfinished business from the first Bush Administration. His agenda was clear: find a rationale to get rid of Saddam."
"We cannot simply speak out against an escalation of troops in Iraq, we must act to prevent it...There can be no doubt that the Constitution gives Congress the authority to decide whether to fund military action, and Congress can demand a justification from the president for such action before it appropriates the funds to carry it out."
Remarks to the National Press Club (9 January 2007), as quoted in "Official: First wave of troops to Iraq by Jan. 30" at MSNBC (9 January 2007)

From the poster boy of responsibility, Ted Kennedy.

You must know that I read DU every day and can honestly say you are full of ****.

I wouldn't know. I don't read it. I didn't even realize the site was still up.

You don't read, you don't listen to radio, you probably don't watch TV, how is it exactly that you formulate your opinions, you must have a direct line to the Democratic Party. Are all these inane opinions a product of your own mind, completely devoid of any substantive fact?

OK, NOW I'm done, I'm not sure which is worse, your opinions or me arguing with them with any expectation of reason from you.

Ted voted against the use of force against Iraq in 2002.

Look it up. I'll wait.

Unlike most conservatives who are spoon-fed their opinions, I actually come up with my opinions on my own from the observable data. I don't read political blogs or magazines, and don't listen to talk radio. I do watch the news, read the newspaper, and check the internet. I check multiple sources in order to filter out any bias that might come from a single site. After that, I come up with my opinion.

Of course, it's a much better approach than dropping acid and typing in some ridiculous BS, like yourself.

You are correct...They have already been totally indoctrinated by the socialist education system ... which doesnt allow questioning any opinion other than that of the State....Who by the way controls the media via the FCC.

The media is controlled by its corporate overlords, whom tend to be conservative--Rupert Murdoch, Jack Welch, etc.

Let them cross the FCC and they will learn what I know. Government has the most guns and the thuggery to use them and get away with it.

He wanders off on tangents so far removed from his original premise that he can't keep up with which stupid comment he made when. I refuse to argue points with this idiot any longer and will now conduct myself like a liberal; engaging in obuscation, name calling and slanderous commentary.

"I went to 80 countries, you know. I gave contemporaneous accounts, I wrote about a lot of this in my book. You know, I think that, a minor blip, you know, if I said something that, you know, I say a lot of things -- millions of words a day -- so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement." Hillary Clinton

LOL

As long as we are wandering off topic...

Well..I hate to have to agree with you..but..I will concede the point that government allows the special intrests to influence policy. Please keep in mind that that same government that you cherish to further your positons allows this....Thanks for joining me in my view that government is just a band of thugs...no better than the Mafia.
