That would be good if you are only trying to communicate with one person but Twitter is about community and groups....My friends and family keep up to date on things going on in my life via my Twitter feed...my sister has my twitter feed intergrated in her browser as an RSS feed...just a fun way to share random thoughts...and I guess I am the only twitterholic here

Face it: If you're not in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, or (insert name of city with huge high tech HQ here) ... NOBODY uses Twitter.

Gotta call BS on this one GTS....I would not call Central NC "High Tech"...I mean we have RTP (Research Triangle Park) but we are not considered "Hight Tech" yet we have a huge Twitter userbase...One group is connected to a local TV station but I have met lots of local people that use Twitter...just because you don't use it doesn't mean that no one else does...my girlfriend is as far away from a "computer geek" as you can get yet she loves it...I would suggest signing up and using the "Track" feature to track your local city/county...you would be surprised at how many twitterholics are around...

I have always heard that the Triangle has a really high concentration of PhDs, with RTP, and the universities-I would say we are "high tech" for the Deep South
