I've seen both in the last week!


Iron Man is one of the best Super Hero movies to come out in a long time!



But, speed racer is pretty good too. All the actrors really hit the spot of the charachters from the old cartoon show. I am glad they made Chim CHim and Spritle LESS annoying than the tv show though. The FX are pretty hard to describe....they are "real" yet CGI yet animated..... its a quite entertaining style.... I thin it will be up for some FX awards. The racing action really delivers too.

I wouldn't doubt Iron Man would still be leading at the box office as it had a week head start over Speed Racer ...and if you mean just this weekend...well Iron Man is a solid movie...and people might be prepping up for Batman later on in the summer.

And, in 2 weeks we get Indiana Jones too! May will be a tough month for making money but a great one for movie goers w/ all the good movies coming out.

I loved Speed Racer. I thought the monkey and little brother could have been toned down even more.

Did they exclusively advertise it on Nickelodeon or something? The theater was 75% 7-year-olds. The other 25% were their parents. With Chim Chim and Spritle toned down, there wouldn't have been much for the little kids to hold on to. It just seemed they got in the way of a good racing movie.

My only regret is not seeing it in IMAX.

that plus critics voice has no effect on my wanting to see a certian movie.

Not sure where they advertised it. I loved the old cartoon show. I'm glad they toned down Spritle and CHim Chim....they were needed but not overly all in the movie.

Racing scenes and FX were AWESOME.
