One to watch is Gustav. Heading for New Orleans. I said after Katrina they should abandon New Orleans. It's below sea level -- get some brains people.

Hanna will probably be caught by the jet stream... it'll hit the northeast or curve out to sea.

Yeah because its a great idea to abandon nearly 300 years of history and unique culture. Not to mention the fact that it is still a crucial port.

Can't remember which board it was on, but someone posted a graphic that showed all of the major navigable waterways in the United States flowing into the Mississippi, and on to New Orleans. You're right, abandoning New Orleans is not an option.

Its not really even a major metropolitan area,

Its just ridiculous to abandon that much history and culture.
