RE: Well, ECU convinced me
That's a lot different rhetoric, than the "thrashings" you & your buddies promised we would receive. Truth is the Big East needs us more this year than we need you because apparently we have already built a top 15 program without any of those BCS advantages.

I take pride in knowing the BCS tag isn't the catalyst of why we are back in the top 15 & that it can legitimately be done without what you guys have deem as a handout if you picked us now, even if we thought we had earned it years ago. We are are pulling ourself up by our own bootstraps unlike some who got the call before us who never sniffed the top 20 before they got the BCS card to recruit with.

At this point I'm not disappointed with any of the circumstances, it honestly is making it more enjoyable & satisfying. I also don't think we would be getting the media attention we have been & be media darlings if we were in the BE. & to do it at the BE's expense is just icing on the cake. 04-cheers

You built a top 15 team, not a top 15 program. Big difference.

Wait til the end of the year and see how ECU does. ECU is infamous for the choke torch. They'll probably blow it and won't even win C-USA.

Truth is - we would LOVE to be in the Big East. Alot of people in this area would love to see something other than the ACC.

Thank you Michael for being man enough to come on this board and post that - b/c that takes real character (something this world needs alot more of). You are welcome at my tailgate anytime.

Cheers!

Perhaps, but I say program because I don't see where we are going to take a major step back in the immediate future. Holtz has improved us each year he has been here, & honestly next year looks like an even better one, & will be the 1st year he has entirely his own players that have all matured in his system.

We have as much NFL talent on our team as any BE team, & of the 7 upperclassmen on our team that are projected to be drafted, 6 are Jr's.

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/col...&order=ASC

Our two biggest playmakers, are just Sophomores. Then throw in that Holtz has said if Pinkney wants to return chances are very good that he would be granted a hardship from his earlier shoulder problems, & if not we got Kass who started more games last year & is a good 5th year Sr with an O-line that loses only 1 on the two deep to protect him.

I can see Holtz & Pinkney coming back to try to do even bigger things next year than just leaving for a rebuild job. Even if Holtz were to leave I think the DC, Hudson would get the job & not miss a beat. He sounds the part of a head coach, has been with Holtz for year & knows his system & was a big time successful DC in the Big 10 when Holtz hired him here away from the Big 10. He's ready IMO to step right in regardless & deserves much of the credit for the success as well.

I'm sure as a UCF fans you're praying for that, but even if we did, we have already made our mark on the college football world this season actually beating teams of significance & flashing that potiental of what could be. That's more than can be said for UCF. Ever....... 04-cheers
