Utterly pointless, yes, but
I had fun doing this:

In honor of its 10th birthday, Google has provided a means of searching via the oldest index it has archived (January 2001).

Here's a random sampling of concepts relevant then and now that passed through my head:

y2k: 2,140,000 hits
"britney spears": 1,100,000 hits
"george w. bush": 702,000 hits
"al gore": 688,000 hits
"john mccain": 158,000 hits
"elian gonzalez": 70,500 hits
"al gore" "invented the internet": 5,680 hits
"hanging chad": 4,980 hits
"joe biden": 3,240 hits
"al qaeda": 1,640 hits
"barack obama": 671 hits
"sara palin" (sic): 2 hits
"sarah palin": 0 hits

and a pair of searches that go together:
"dumb mother******" : 3,490 hits (the top one being the "The George W. Bush for President On-Line Store for Campaign Materials, Wearables, and Gift Items.")
googlebomb: 0 hits
