Why the **** should the SEC be blackballed "seriously"? Because of the lack of black coaches? I don't know if you know this or not, but there isn't a huge amount of successful black coaches in the country right now. What, we're supposed to throw 1-3 million dollars at a guy just because he's black?
.....and again, you Terps first.
no because they fire all their coaches every ******* year if I was a coach black or white there is no way I would go there. You seriously need to work on your reading comprehension skills.
Nothing wrong with my comprehension skills. You've been going on and on about hiring black coaches for the last 2 weeks, so it should be understandable when someone thinks your last comment had something to do with black coaches.
As for firing coaches every year, how? Out of the 3 coaches fired, 2 have been there for over 10 years. Croom had 3 to turn the program around and still had a losing margin of victory. The SEC is pretty much in line with all of the BCS schools.

RE: Sylvester Croom resigns at Mississippi State
Bama has had 5 coaches in the past 8 years, Ole Miss is on its 3rd in 4 years. Miss State is about to hire its 3rd in 5 years, even Arkansas and Florida have both technically had 3 coaches in the past 3 or 4 years.
Off the top of my head I cant think of any other conferences that have had that much turnover in the past 8 or 9 years.

Hmm, maybe that's why the SEC is consistently the best conference in college football? Maybe we should settle with mediocrity just so we can keep substandard coaches employed?
As I stated before, the program isn't there to provide someone with a job. It's there to win games and bring in exposure to boost the purse and boost the enrollment. How many QB's would the Terps keep in the #1 slot if they consistently through interceptions? None? They'd be yanked out, right? But why?
Your idea is one steeped in failure. If you want to be the best, you have to obtain the best.

RE: Sylvester Croom resigns at Mississippi State
WTF are you talking about?
These are successful coaches that are getting canned.
Houston Nutt won 18 games his last two seasons before he got canned
Sylvester Croom was the reigning SEC coach of the year
Mike Shula was a year removed from a 10 win season
and yes Maryland did start a horrible QB for the season opener two years in a row.

Nutt resigned. He wasn't fired. Croom, although he was named COTY, was still mediocre. That COTY award isn't just for the best coaches in the conference. It's for coaches who made an impact that year. Getting MS State to the friggin' Liberty Bowl was an improvement, but it still wasn't cutting it. This year sealed the deal. The loss to Ole Miss nailed it shut.
As for Mike Shula, that 10-win season was one in about 4. That's not success. When you're one of the best and storied teams in the country, you don't settle for failure.

You dont know what you are talking about, they were on probation before he got there so he didnt have much to work with and he still had just one losing season in his 4 years there.

6-6 doesn't get it done in T-Town. Worry about your own damn conference. Watching the ACC championship, this is about the most boring game I've seen in quite some time.

I didnt watch more than 30 seconds of that garbage game.
But take a closer look at Alabama, before Saban you have to go back to the mid 90s to find someone who was better than Shula.

Calling Terpy....
Auburn gets permission from Buffalo to talk to Turner Gill.
When is Maryland going to interview a black coach for a head coaching position?

Also there is a solid chance that James Franklin takes over when Fridge is done so you can all suck it.

"Solid Chance" is still just a chance. Wasn't it you that said about Penn State's assistant, "And don't give me that coach in waiting BS"?
Now, you were saying? Only you think you have an argument here.

You guys are the ones who keep bringing up Maryland not me.
All along my point has been the conference specifically and NCAA football in general not the individual schools EVERYONE IS AT FAULT INCLUDING MARYLAND.
Show me where I have said anything contrary to this.
and James Franklin isnt a coach in waiting I just said that he is a likely successor assuming the team is doing OK.
