I'll go with 55,000 paid, 23 total people in actual attendance. :)

Could they have made a worse decision than to go to a city that doesn't even have an ACC team in it? And they are playing there again next year.

Move the game to Charlotte or play it at one of the stadiums of the teams who make the finals like C-USA. That was just ridiculous.

Swofford is a terrible commish. He spends his time rimjobbing UNC-Dook for all things basketball, and FSU-Miami for all things football, right down to insisting the championship game be in Florida until it's a laughing failure.

Charlotte would be an excellent choice.

I think Charlotte is the best choice (they usually play the ACC tourney for bball in Carolina in Charlotte and Greensboro), and I've heard they'll make a bid once the contract in TB runs out. Other options I would suggest are FedEx field, Georgia Dome, and even possibly Philly (though thats a little more out of the region).

Philly is a cold weather city. You don't want that option unless it is in a dome.

Why would anyone in Philadelphia care about the ACC?
