Q: How do I get the old split column thread view back?
A: User CP --> Edit Options --> Right column --> "Display posts in classic view"

Q: Where's my signature?
A: User CP --> Edit Profile --> Edit Sig --> Change from "No Action" to "Enable"

Q: Thread views aren't updating?
A: Yes, they are. Just in 15-minute intervals. This helps us with some performance related things.

I can only assume you had to make this change - no one would cause this kind of grief for shats and gaggles. My question is, what made the change necessary? Still no tool bar in the post reply window, emoticons don't paste, and every other time I try to back out of a thread, my IE locks up to the point that I have to call up task manager just to close IE because "x-ing out" @ the top right doesn't work. Hope that helps.

The upgrade was necessary for:
- Security
- Huge amounts of new features of Mods
- New features for admins
- New and easier UI
- Numerous technical enhancements dealing with performance, ease of maintenance, and all sorts of stuff that would bore you if I explained it.

They're working on making those things behave properly on IE6. HOWEVER, it should be noted that IE6 is depricated. It has outstanding security holes that will never be patched by Microsoft. It is a product that has reached end of life and will never be updated again. 15% (and rapidly dropping) of people on the web use IE6. You should expect this sort of thing to happen more and more frequently across the internet if you continue to use IE6. Support for it will simply be dropped, in much the same way nobody supports IE5 or Netscape anymore.

That being said, if you don't want to wait on the fixes from the MyBB team, I encourage you to do one of the following:
1) Upgrade to IE7
2) Install Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com )
3) Install Opera ( http://www.opera.com )
4) Install Chrome ( http://www.google.com/chrome )

Quote:Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/var/www/localhost/htdocs/ncaabbs/games.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php') in Unknown on line 0

There is currently not an updated Games plugin available yet, so we've disabled it

As does everyone else.

(01-02-2009 01:07 AM)GoGold Wrote:  So does that mean I have been given a warning with no action taken?

No. You currently do not have any warnings. If you have a warning you will be able to view them by clicking the little percentage link next to "Warning Level" (iirc)

(01-02-2009 01:07 AM)GoGold Wrote:  If so will we not receive a notice of why the warning was issued?

It is at the moderators discretion to notify you of the warning.
