While I have nothing against BC......they just don't "fit" in the ACC. I know it's a great school and the fans (BC) that I have encountered have been nice....they just don't "fit" in the ACC.

Wow want to now give back a confrence member the ACC should be up there with the SEC in football
in about 3 to 4 years and Boston College is a good school so you would be killin your confrence.

I know you guys have coveted Maryland for a long time but..............I don't think they are going anywhere.
As for Miami and BC being a package deal, OK........you can have both of them back.

I had a couple of UNC fans basically run the BC for West Virginia idea by me when I was at the Charlotte Bowl....The folks I talked to basically had the same thoughts, BC was a good school but no fans.

In defense of BC fans it does take more effort to travel to a game today then it did 5 years ago. The closest conference mate is Maryland a trip there requires much more commitment and planing than the 45 min trek to PC or the hour or so trip to UConn. In the time it takes to drive from BC to UMD you could get to PC, UCONN, RU,SJU,VU, SH and SU and 20 minutes more GU. They're even closer to Pittsburgh than to raleigh and charlotte. Many people cant commit to a weekend road trip.

Well I am suprised Bitcruncher isn't here to say that the ACC didn't want WV waaay back when we all left the old Southern Conference. It looked like this when we and six others left in like '53:
