Since at least at some point you appear to have lived in the area (if you don't still), any suggestions on sports bars to catch the national championship game? I also would probably like to catch the UC basketball game on Wednesday night, so the place may get double duty.

I'll also be spending time downtown doing some work for my company, so if there is nothing up near Rockville then downtown is a possibility. I'm not sure I want to catch a trip up the Red line at midnight, however.

I actually live in Delaware now and grew up on Maryland's Eastern Shore so Im not all that familiar with the DC suburbs. There are some decent places in DC though, your best bet for a sports bar would likely be around Chinatown (that is where the Verizon Center is). Sorry I cant help you much with Rockville. I hate to send you off to another message board but Im sure the fine folks over at terpcenter.com will be able to help you more than I can.

If you are willing to go into the city there is a place called RFDs that is supposed to be pretty good, Capitol City Brewery is cool, Ive been there a couple times I believe they have a big screen. The Green Turtle is a local chain type place my experience has been the one in DC is usually pretty lame but maybe Ive just never been on the rigth nights.

I've been to both RFDs and Capitol City Brewery. Both are good places. I'm actually working at 14th and I (just down the road from the White House).
