I apologize for the ACC
THIS IS WHY I HATE EXPANSION (please don't move this there, it's a formal apology for taking BC and Miami, two true BE schools)

No rubbermatch Vs Wake

The only way I could ever see BC and Miami leaving now is if Penn State and Notre Dame join forces and create a league in which Notre Dame can play indy football.
6 schools to keep NCAA auto-bid: Notre Dame, Syracuse, UConn, Rutgers, West Virginia, Pitt
Add: Boston College, Penn State, and Miami

I miss my grandad's ACC.......

Apology accepted.

But just so you know, Penn State and ND won't join UNLESS Miami and BC come back first. 03-lmfao

Interesting conference...although I don't think Penn State or South Carolina would leave their respective conferences

Please tell Swofford and tell him to make it happen! We'll take care of Marinatto by giving him the boot and we'll hire someone like Weiberg.

Deal?

What do you mean, "No rubbermatch"...?

You're assuming Carolina and Wake Forest won't meet in the ACC Tournament -- and given the way the Heels have been playing lately, the two schools could very well meet on "Semifinal Saturday" (as Carolina will be a #4 seed at this pace).

I wanted them on our court. The way they're playing though, I know, I know. Ginyard's D is sorely missed.

I know how you feel...I miss my daddy's Eastern football..A lot more sense of regionalism and rivalry that BE football has not been able to find

RE: I apologize for the ACC
The BEast can't find it due to the hybrid nature of the conference. Rivalries vary depending on the season, so there is no real sense of rivalry, except those that formed before the conference. The nature of the conference isn't condusive to the creation of lasting rivalries among its members, and that's its greatest weakness...

MAn I hate it when people put Syracuse on their list. Like we want to be in a conference with Ga. Tech, Clemson, UVA, Florida State and SOuth Carolina. I think we're a New York state school with a good number of students out of NYC. I think we like to compete against Conneticut, Boston, Philly and anything out of New Jersey (seton hall, rutgers). You know the big northern cities. We could really care less about the south unless it's USF. Like Sarah Palin used to say: Thanks but no Thanks.

RE: I apologize for the ACC
There is really no need to apologize, however, I would really love to give Boston College AND Miami back to the Big East.

Jackson

Hail Jackson!

I'm with you there. But I have no problem keeping UL, Cincinnati, and South Florida in the mix as well. They've proved themselves as belonging.

But ND, PSU, and Miami are still pipe dreams. BC is nothing. They are simply the tag-alongers for 12 in my dream scenario. 03-lmfao

Cheers,
Neil
