Booo to the FEDS and the FCC
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29003127/wid...?GT1=40000

This is the EXACT REASON the DTV transition is so freakin far behind...

They allowed all those broacast standards.

They made it so only Broadcast networks HAVE to transition over

and they let cable and Sattelite get a free ride on their channels not having to change over.

What a F* up

Cable and satellite don't use the same airwaves. This is apples vs oranges.

Also, none of the over the air stations have to keep up their analog signals. The Dayton, Ohio stations have all filed that they will kill their analog signals on February 17th anyway.

Same for affiliates here....BUT... they only are relaying the HD of their parent networks, none of their local programming is in HD as of now... not even SD. Now the Raleigh area stations are different in that regard.

Our stations have finally gotten the equipment to show the syndicated shows in HD. 1 newscast is widescreen SD, none of them are in HD.
