Its' Duke. Duke is like the Yankees. If you're not an established team, I say go hog wild. If Cincinnati beat Duke in Cincinnati, I would love to be the ones storming the court. But oh wait, the security in the Shoe makes that impossible. Have at it stormers. Makes for good viewing too.

i didn't know people hated duke like that. in fact, i thought it was the opposite. there are a lot of duke fans outside of NC.

WTF? So you can gauge a college team's popularity in the two biggest metropolis' in the country? First off, how? Do you go to sports bars in those cities, do you ask people on the street if they hate Duke? I'm curious. Because it seems like an extraordinary feat. Where do you go to find this info out? We're not as big as New York of LA, but we here in Cincinnati or similar sized towns, it's an established fact that Duke sucks ass. Xavier fans might like them though.

I lived in NY for a lot of years and i've been to LA more times than i can count. is all of this a scientific fact? No, but it just doesn't seem to me like Duke is hated anywhere near the level of the Yankees.

Duke, much like the Yankees is one of the teams that people either despise or love. There are tons of Yankee fans all over the country too, they arent confined to New York. Nobody is lukewarm about either team.
