RE: Bigotry Quantified
I'm against the fed recognizing gay marriage. I'm also against the fed recognizing straight marriage, for the same reason. That is a contract between two individual citizens. The federal government has no business getting involved. I will tell you though, I am adamantly opposed to forcing a church to perform the service. There are plenty of Unitarian churches that will do it.

Yup, so many denominations would rather be nice than be loving... Sad..

Again, I never said it wasn't. But that is true. What would you say about a Black man fighting against the Civil Rights movement? Or an American fight against the United States?
I would say that a movement is potentially comprised of a multitude of elements. Now am I to understand that the litmus test of acceptance within the "community" is one's position on the same sex marriage issue?

You're not supposed to use gay anymore. Trojan Paul said it's offensive.

RE: Bigotry Quantified
Thank you for the feedback, RedHawk. It's not that I'm harping. It is important to me to get clarity on another's position. Hence I tend to ask alot of questions. Perhaps I'm just a slower learner.
