Ah. Thought you were talking about football. Not a fan of ball with bases or baskets.

nope. literally cannot watch college football for more than a few minutes. i watched a little bit of the bama-auburn game, but had to change the channel after watching cam newton run diff. variations of the same play out of the shotgun for a whole drive. when a team runs a play out of the I-formation with the QB taking the ball from under center, call me

The Providence local newspaper is talking about a possible split of the conference. The Big East conference is headquartered in Providence... sounds like a split could be coming.

Games in December are not the same as games come February and March. That being said, from what I saw of the game, St. John's played a very good game tonight. They outhustled WVU all night long, something not many teams can say when coaching against Huggins.

How many of the current starters return next season? I know DJ Kennedy is gone, how about the others. He may need some time to really put the team together.

this isn't exactly an early december game. it's pretty much january

they're all gone, except for the backup pg. he's got 10 ships and is using 8 of them on the #3 recruiting class in the country.

If you want to be a basketball conference, by all means, drop your BCS automatic bid. There are other conferences more deserving.

I see no reason why a conference can't do both.

Reb, talk sh!t to me the next time Ole Miss is nationally relevant in ANY sport. If Ole Miss weren't in the SEC, they'd have become FBS long ago...

Difference is, I know we suck. You guys still think you're a football powerhouse deserving of an automatic bid.

...but no, we'd never be in the FBS. Too much history and I think the last two Cotton Bowl appearances show that our football days are still relevant.

Point of clarification: Both teams you're talking about are in FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision / 1-A).

I wondered if you'd catch that, Reb. It was a typo originally, but I decided to leave it that way for the hell of it... 03-lmfao
