Confederacy of Dunces is an absolute classic. I loved his letters to Myrna and pretty much everything that happened at Levy Pants.

he's such an a$$. i told my girlfriend that i'm going to be telling her all about this book. she was enthusiastic... until i mentioned that he's worse than kenny powers. she hates kenny powers.

for me, i loved most when he was a hot dog vendor, constantly shooing away patrons and eating weenies in the french quarter. dorian greene, which i assume is in homage to dorian gray, was a delight. man i need to make it back to n'awlins. it's been 10 years almost. and jones, jones was amazing.

anybody read any jonathan swift? i'm debating if i should read the rest of his collection after i finish gulliver's travels. it's all in one neat little package. i just want to know if i'm going to get anything out of a tale of the tub or the battle of the books. while i am a fan of history, swift is pretty in depth on british particulars. military history fascinates me as does political to an extent, i just want it to not be a complete waste of my time.
