ATLANTA-Georgia State fans are invited to preview the 2011 season by attending the Panthers' second annual Blue-White Spring Scrimmage Thursday, April 14 at the Georgia Dome. Admission is free. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the on-field festivities begin at 6:30 p.m.

Head coach Bill Curry and his Panthers will conduct an intrasquad scrimmage featuring the offense versus the defense in a unique scoring format. The offense will score points on touchdowns and field goals as well as long passes and runs, while the defense will accumulate points for big plays such as turnovers, tackles for loss and three-and-out stops.

Live radio coverage will be available on Newstalk 1160 AM and WMLB 1690 AM. Air time is 7 p.m., and Dave Cohen and Harper Lebel will call the action.

The Blue-White Spring Scrimmage will feature plenty of promotions and giveaways for GSU fans. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a FREE 2011 schedule t-shirt. Free posters and schedule cards will also be distributed.

All individuals who have purchased or renewed their season tickets for 2011 will have the opportunity to view part of the Spring Scrimmage from the field. Upon arrival at the Georgia Dome, season ticket holders should visit the check-in table at Section 119. From there, you will be directed to the field for your viewing experience and photo.

All photos will be sent via email following the Spring Scrimmage and posted on the Georgia State University Athletics Facebook page.

To renew or purchase season tickets for 2011 GSU football, please contact the Panther Sales Center at 866-GA-STATE (866-427-8283). Sales representatives will also be on hand at the Blue-White Spring Scrimmage to assist fans in selecting and purchasing their seats.

GETTING TO THE DOME

Parking lots around the Georgia Dome, priced at $10 per car, will open at 5:30 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to utilize MARTA. The closest MARTA station is the Dome/GWCC/Phillips/CNN Station. Visit http://www.itsmarta.com for more information on station locations and schedules.

Students are invited to ride the free shuttle from the GSU campus to the Georgia Dome. Shuttles will begin at 6 p.m., with campus pick-up and drop-off locations at G Deck and Panther's Den.

All entry will be via Georgia Dome Gate D by the MARTA stop and Orange Lot, which opens at 6 p.m.
