LSU and USM??

I got my info from a prescrpition site so I don't want to say because they get mad about that kind of stuff. But, you're close.

"Prescription site" lol. What's the players name I will look him up on Rivals.

Subscription... 03-drunk

Oh what the hell... it's Leonard Washington and he's narrowed it to Tech, USM, and Kentucky. But I don't think Kentucky has offered yet.

You have an article on him at Big Gold Nation right now.

Ok I see it now.

I think the "Water Boy" was filmed at Louisiana Tech.

LA Tech will never be let in unless all of CUSA overrides Tulane's vote. Sorry. And if it ever gets to that point Tulane may as well be thrown out.

And I would imagine that after the fiasco that was TCU approving Rice, SMU, Tulsa, UCF, & Marshall then leaving because of the new additions I would imagine that CUSA is going to be very sensitive to the desires of members, especially a charter member.

Well, you don't know that. Tech certainly could (and should) do some serious private repair of relationships to prevent that. Although I think Tech has a legitimate point**, they completely blew it, absolutely blew it, by publicly whining about it.
Politically (within the state of La) it's not in TU's interest to bar Tech. TU would prefer just to be quiet about things, vote for Tech, and let the votes fall where they will.
But, indeed, if we're firm on a veto, they're not getting in....more weight is always given to geographic proximates and C-USA presidents won't go against us.
**And while I think, in general, because of housing us after K we should be willing to give them a home/home (or even an 0/1; that may be better), we don't know really why it didn't happen. It could be that they didn't give us a date we could work with or a number of other things. And certainly reading a page of a La Tech board on the subject (the vile and invective spewed) makes me personally uninterested in said game.

Tulane's stance on playing Tech in Football should be enough of a hint on how we'd feel about having them in C-USA. If politics were enough of a force to influence Tulane into supporting Tech, we'd have scheduled a Football series with them. Tech could always wield this invisible political "influence" + some Katrina guilt and force the issue of a TU vs La. Tech Football game. Alas this has not happened and I figure we wont be seeing TU vs LTU anytime soon. Should it come to conference expansion or replacing a departed member(s) I'd expect TU to remain silent, neither endorsing or dismissing La. Tech as a possible candidate. There are some things to gain from adding them but also some things that other schools could bring to the table that Tech can't. Again the Football stance suggest TU would rather not have Tech around. We hardly play them in any other Sports and we'd share the State with them in our own league which I imagine Tulane would prefer not to do. Instead I'd expect we'd tout the merits of other expansion/addition candidates while remaining lukewarm on expressing our feelings about Tech.

Never worry. Neither Tulane or any other cusa schools vote specifically for or against any prospect for membership in terms of what we normally understand as an election (two or more names from which to choose).
. The league has established the criteria that prospects must meet and if a member is needed then hires outside consultants to survey and scan the land for the ONE school that most closely fits the requirements. Then, that name is brought to the school presidents to decide if they want them or not. A vote IS taken but its just on whether or not they want the one team presented. A veto could arise at that point but fortunately for Tulane they wont need to cast a vote against Tech because Tech does not meet the criteria in a number of ways and wont be presented.

Tech brings nothing to C-USA. LA Tech trolls need to get the hell away from the C-USA Board.
