RE: "Corporations are...
I honestly don't see what the big deal is. It's fairly clear what he meant by the comment, if you care enough to understand the context.
It's not like he claimed his parents conceived him 4 years after he was born or anything.

Wrong. They are speaking for the vast majority of these people. If they weren't, then the shareholders would vote the board of directors out and replace them with new people. Also, if you despise the moves that the CEO is making for a publicly traded company, you can vote with your feet by selling your shares. Alternatively, if your mutual fund invests in companies that you don't like you can cash out and invest somewhere else.
This is very simple and fundamental stuff here. I'm amazed that you cannot grasp these concepts.
It's simple....he needs dim talking points.
I can despise the motives of the company and still enjoy making money off of them, if anything I'm more likely to invest in them. That way at least I'm benefiting from their actions.
As long as the system isn't changed, I have to play by the rules. Under those rules, that's the best way for me to personally make money right now. That doesn't mean I don't have problems with the company or system, or can't want the system to change. Until that system changes though, I'm going to play the current system to the best of my ability. I'm amazed that you can't understand this, it's very simple.
You're a riot. If anything, this line of thinking makes you look like one of Ayn Rand's mooching characters in "Atlas Shrugged". In public, you loath the corporations and wish the systems were different. However, you actually hope to see the status quo maintained because you want to make money off of these "evil entities". You want to see them burdened with more regulations and higher taxes, yet you will continue to expect them to deliver the same returns that they always have.

Exactly how I've seen it since I heard them compared/contrasted.
Quote:“Obviously they’re not. People are individuals, they’re not groups and they’re not companies. Individuals have rights, they’re not collective. You can’t duck that. So individuals should be responsible for corporations, but they shouldn’t be a new creature, so to speak. Rights and obligations should be always back to the individual.”
