I dont know if any of you saw this or not, or it has already been posted, but Pete Futiak interviews three QB's ; Eric Ainge, Brian Brohm, and the Bowliing Green QB. Following is Brohms' interview:

You'd be hard pressed to find a freshman quarterback who was eased into a situation better than Louisville's Brian Brohm was last year. One of the nation's top recruits, Brohm got meaningful minutes in some of the biggest games even though All-Conference USA quarterback Stefan LeFors was still the team's number one guy. As good as LeFors was, Brohm has far more potential with NFL size and skills along with a calm, cool demeanor and mentality that should make him one of college football's top gunslingers for the next few years.

CFN: You were treated almost like starter 1A last year, but are you still trying to get used to being the number one guy?

BB: A little bit. I'm still trying to learn to take charge more and have to make sure my teammates trust me more, but that comes with time. I think we've established that I know the offense, so it's not like I'm a brand new starter and I can go out and run the offense. It was fine this spring.

CFN: Do you guys get into the hype of moving from Conference USA to the Big East?

BB: We know the competition is going to be tougher week in and week out, but we're still doing the same things we did last year and going about our business. We can't really worry about trying even harder just because we're moving to a better conference. We have to prove to everyone that we can win in a big time conference, and we think we can do that be working on what we've been working on.

CFN: While the coaching staff put pressure on you by putting you in tough situations last year and letting you work your way out of them, it's different now that you have to be the steady full-time starter in a tougher league. Is it more of a feeling of responsibility, pressure or fun for you?

BB: It's definitely fun. We're going to have to step up to the challenge of playing in the Big East and I'm going to have to step up and prove to everyone that we can play just as well in the big time league and I can lead the way. We're definitely looking at it as a challenge, but we're also really excited about it.

CFN: After last year, people are going to be expecting you to win every game in a blowout even though you're stepping up conferences.

BB: We can't really think about that and we just kind of go with the flow. We hope in every game we can blow people out. If we can do it, then we want to do it to show the nation how good we are. I think everyone would like to try to blow the other team out. If we can do it, then great. I'm not saying we always can, but we'd certainly like to.

CFN: Stefan LeFors didn't have your skills or your upside, but he was certainly a great quarterback. What were you able to learn from him?

BB: He made the right decisions at the right times, every time. He was great at letting the offense work for him and not trying to do too much. Quarterbacks get in trouble when they force the issue and try to make plays when they aren't there. He was great and taking what the defense gave him and making sure he could make the right play.

CFN: Being thrown into the fire like you were as a true freshman, was there anything that shocked or surprised you?

BB: There wasn't really all that much that shocked me. I love the big game atmosphere and I love the big moments in the big games. I look forward to getting into more of those situations. It's sort of what I was planning for when I got here, so I was pretty much mentally prepared for all the big moments I'd have to face.

CFN: Is the team the same under you as it was under Stefan?

BB: I think so. It's definitely a lot of fun and its what you want as a quarterback to be able to lead a team like this. I have a different personality, like all quarterbacks have a different personality, and the team seems to be coming together and playing really well.

CFN: What do you feel like you have to get better at as the full-time starter?

BB: This offense is probably one of the most complicated out there, so I always feel like I have to learn it better and get every little detail down. I have the main stuff down, but I really want to know it backwards and forwards so I can have a total command of it. I'd really like to keep working to get all the small details together.

CFN: What advice would you give to a freshman quarterback who gets to play right away?

BB: Calm down. This is just football and it's just like it was the year before. You can't focus on all the fans and all the hype and all of the outside distractions and just relax and do what you know how to do. If you think about it too much, you'll forget how to do what you know how to do.

CFN: Can Louisville football be bigger than Louisville basketball?

BB: That's our goal. The basketball team tried to outdo us this year after going to the Final Four, but we think we can have a big season make football just as big a deal.

CFN: What was the mood around there after the run to the Final Four?

BB: It was certainly exciting. It's fun to be at a place where there are big things like that happening, and we hope to be able to do more of the same for football. We'd like Louisville to have that 1-2 punch; it makes it really fun.

CFN: So who'll average more points per game, the football team or the basketball team?

BB: If it's us, we're going to have a really big year. That would be nice.
