We should probably embrace it like MSU embraced "Starkvegas." It's kind of catchy since it's our mascot.
I do too. If BR is "Tigertown," Starkville is "StarkVegas," and Fayetteville is "Fayette-nam" then why not? Ruston as "Dogpatch" works for me. I like it!
Besides, imagine Eager's worst nightmare...launching a new Marketing campaign for the school he despises.
First thing I did after joining the board in April 2012 was to put EE on ignore. I do catch a snipit from quotes every now and then which is more than enough. My only ignore btw.

I just thought it would be cool to be right behind the USM bench. Looks like the GA seats are either in the top or on the ends so I'll just get tickets from USM if they are going to be in section L.

You would be in the middle of the student section and might not enjoy that very much. Most visitors congregate in the northeast part sections K and L, sum like that. Your right though, it is pretty neat to be right behind your bench.
Last game they had cracked down on non-students/young alumni ticket holders sitting in M-P sections

I think its a great idea. The town or Tech could erect a one room log hut, give it a distressed look, nail some coon hides to the door, erect a small still off the porch, run a smoke pipe through the ceiling which emits smoke all the time and then hang a sign "Welcom to Dogpatach, Home of La TEch". Sure would be an eye catcher.

I'd be more inclined to have a Dogtrot house, as that architecture was very popular in the uplands of northern Louisiana around the time Louisiana Tech was founded (1894).
So, if Ruston is Dogpatch, can Hattiesburg be Petticoat Junction? You knows we's cuzzins, right?

RE: Southern Miss - La Tech Seating
To correct the wrong information posted on this thread. Visitor seating is in section L. If you try to sit in the Louisiana Tech student section you will be asked to move to your correct seating section. GA does NOT mean sit wherever you want.
