Sad Harry Potter movies come to an end
I just got the Deathly Hallows Pt 2 on BR today ( have Pt 1 on BR and then 1-6 on DVD SEs).

While not one to always get a collector set... i.e. the LotR set with the book ends, the Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington Head case...

I have to admit this set for 1-8 is bad ass:

V1: http://www.hogwartsradio.com/harry-potte...pre-order/

V2: Even more Kick Ass
http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B005EOU9...B005EOU9JE

**************

Probably one of the best movie series I have ever seen. They kept the quality up over every movie... most elongated series of sequels has a dud here or there but I really can't think of one here.

I am seriously wanting to read the books to get some more of the background information not shown in the movies though.

RE: Harry Potter movies come to an end
I'm almost through with all of the books, and the only two that I think are miles and away better than the movies are Goblet of Fire and Half-Blood Prince. Order of the Phoenix was an encyclopedia, and I liked the movie better. That being said, I don't regret watching the movies or reading the books one bit.

RE: Harry Potter movies come to an end
I was a much bigger fan of the books than the movies, but they did a really good job filming the final two.

Technically Tom Riddle is NOT Harry's father. However you could argue that at the point he tried to kill Harry he created is his most feared adversary.

You left out that Hermione is Harry's sister. And Haggard is a wookie.

Pretty much. In an attempt to ensure that he wouldn't have a nemesis, he created one.

How'd that turn out for ol' Voldy?

OOTP was my favorite book. I loved all the great messages about government interference

OOTP just seemed far too long for its own good for me. I didn't hate it, but I kept waiting for something to happen, but it kept taking its sweet time. I have no regrets in reading it, though; when I got through some of the fluff, it was a fun read.

That being said, I did like the Battle in the Department of Mysteries stuff better in the movie than in the book.

really? it was so much more fleshed out in the book. All the different rooms, the creepiness of the veil and the fact that in the books the death eaters don't fly. How did they fly in the dept of mysteries?
