RE: Year End Music Top 10 Albums
that's a pretty good list. missing a lot of stuff I'd include, but I love the inclusion of Yuck and Portugal the man. I didn't really care for the Grouplove album. Thought it started to get bland around the middle. But i did like the manchester orchestra and young the giant picks. i'll post mine later, though it'll probably be at least a top 20

RE: Year End Music Top 10 Albums
Lets see here:

NEW for 2011 I got

Beastie Boys: Hot Sauce Committee Pt2
Wu Tang Clan: Legendary Weapons
The Game: The R.E.D. Album
Limp Bizkit: Gold Cobra
Evanescence: "
Korn: The Path of Totality
The Roots: Undun
*Living Colour: The Chair in the Doorway (released 2009, got in 2011)
*Brian Adams: Icon ( released ??? , got in 2011 )

****

If I were to rank them:

Beasties
The Roots
Evanescence
Limp Bizkit
Korn
Wu Tang Clan
Bryan Adams
Living Colour
The Game

IMO The Besties and New Roots are a strong T2. The game was last place no question. The new Living Colour was not up to their old standards but a decent disc. Adams was low because it was a hits disc. Evanescence sounded like their other two cds so no real ground breaking jams. LB, Korn, and Wu were all decent but not distinct enough to have a ranking exasperating them by much.

RE: Year End Music Top 10 Albums
Reb, the wife and I were cleaning up yesterday, and dug up a complete Berlitz Spanish course in a box full of old records. They were still in the original boxes, and could be used at 33 1/3 on one side, or 78 on the other...

8-track tapes, cassette tapes, VHS, and Betamax are some more dead-end technologies that have popped up and died since records phased out...

3. Tori Amos - Night of Hunters
4. Tom Waits - Bad as Me
5. PJ Harvey - Let England Shake

6. Adele - 21
7. Robbie Robertson - How To Become Clairvoyant
8. Lucinda Williams - Blessed
9. Dave Stewart - The Blackbird Diaries
10. The Dears - Degeneration Street

11. Eleanor Friedberger - Last Summer
12. Lady Gaga - Born This Way
13. Wire - Red Barked Tree
14. Stevie Nicks - In Your Dreams
15. Foster the People - Torches

16. Florence + The Machine - Ceremonials
17. Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
18. Bon Iver - Bon Iver
19. Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
20. Holy Ghost! - Holy Ghost!

Wow, forgot Red Hot Chili Peppers: "I'm With You" new for '11.

I also forgot I got Ratt: "Metal Hits" in 2011.

Put them in where I'd think they'd rank.
