If this rematch turns out to be as good as the rematch after 37-7, the game will end up on ESPN Classic.

That left a mark.

Congrats on the win.

I knew we were going to lose after the first 4 minutes. I've never seen our team come out so flat which is especially bizzare considering we were playing Memphis. Cal coached circles around Pitino last night and Garcia needs to pull his head out of his arse.

LOL this is the reason why I am glad were heading to the Big East. Every game we play in C-USA, its they're national championship. Like Memphis, look at who they have lost to this year...Ole Miss? Louisiana Tech? What were you saving it all for Louisville? Whenever we beat memphis its just another win but when Memphis finds a way to beat us every once in a while they act as if they just won the national title. Thats the difference between the 2 programs.

The Big East cant get here soon enough.

Let them have their day, they earned it with the tough season they had so far. Just remember this, we do get a rematch and I for one will be very interested on how both Memphis and Louisville react in the rematch.

oh my god...now you guys have gone back to arrogant mode...beating UL is no championship...all this does for us is get us back in the NCAA picture...and lets us shut down Crapdom Hall in style...i like the part about beating you guys "every once and a while" did you know since 95' we are 8-5 against UL...including 2 wins at FH...right now UL has to find a way to beat us AT HOME...just to save face.

enjoy the Big East.

Go Tigers!!!

I would not say we are arrogant, we just would not put the score in our signature if we beat Memphis. We also would not rush the floor either but that is another discussion.

How old are you.. seriously? I'm guessing under 25. If that's the case, then I can understand why you would feel that Memphis is just "another game" on the schedule.

Back in the 1980's, Memphis and Louisville were one of the top rivalries in all of college basketball. Yep.. even up there with Duke/North Carolina. Whenever we played, it seemed both cities shut down for the night, so those lucky few who didn't have a golden ticket to the game could watch it at home. And it wasn't just a local rivalry. People across the country wanted to see this game every year. ESPN one televise one matchup and ABC the other.

But someone who didn't grow up during that time period would have no idea about our long, bloody history together.. and certainly wouldn't understand how a 13-10 Memphis squad could dominate a 20-3 Louisville team in Freedom Hall. It's always been that way. Whenever we get together, you can throw the records out. That's the sign of a true rivalry. Our schools were beating up on each other, back when Cincinnati was lucky to win 8 games a season.

maybe your coach should teach your players how to get up for each game like its your last. Don't discount Memphis because our boys came out and played with heart.
