Can you guys post up your number returning starters here? If a player was a projected starter before last year and was hurt before or shortly after the season started, I'm not counting them. I need the actual starters who played a majority of last year who are returning this year. Also, please break them down between O/D and let me know if your QB is a returning starter. Thanks.

Connecticut - 5 O/7 D
Cincinnati -
Louisville -
Pittsburgh -
Rutgers -
South Florida - 8 O/7 D
Syracuse -

Maybe
West Virginia

I got a formula from a Michigan blogger that uses previous year's stats, recruiting rankings and returning starters to predict future rankings/wins.

I ran SDSU's numbers before the season and was off by one game. If anything it will give us something else to talk about other than the dreaded CR words.

There is no maybe for WVU, they are getting out even if they have to tax the state to pay the huge buyout from the BE. If they have to play two games a week they will (will the ncaa allow that?)

There are other threads for that BS. Let's try to keep this one to on the field stuff.

k5, I'll go about and answer you question for Cincinnati:

Offense (assuming 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB sets) - 5
- Lose QB, RB, C, LG, TE, WR
- Return both OTs, RG, and 2 WRs

While UC lost DJ Woods, Alex Chisum, tho not technically a starter in 2011, got tons of a playing time and will smoothly handle full-time WR duties.

Defense - 7
- Lose two DTs, a free safety, and MLB
- Return most of the secondary, the DEs, and the OLBs (although one may move inside)

The defense actually will have the most experience of either unit.

04-cheers I know the folks at Morgantown would be more than happy to watch a doubleheader.

Yeah I saw that, but those tend to be off a player or two. I thought I'd go straight to the fans who follow the team, day in and day out.
