I guess it's really hard to compete at the 1-AA level.. and I thought FAMU was moving to D1-A, and now this?

I was thinking that they could join the Big East. There in Florida after all. Could this be the likes of what to come, i.e. University of Somewhere in Florida.

I understand the frustration w/ location and market making these decisions..... we know it first hand. Our location and market kept us out of the ACC expansion picture. That is unfortunately the reality of college football.

But the difference in the ACC is that all three programs added were respected and established programs. Unlike the Big Eat going for the University of Somewhere in Florida because of their market. No fans, no traditions, no history, nothing accomplished, no facilities to call their own for football.

Name one player that you can remeber who came out of USF who made an impact in the NFL. I sure can't. ECU-Jeff Blake, Robert Jones, David Garrard, John Jett and others. Marshall Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, and Byron Leftwich. Even UCF had Daunte Culpepper.

This will prove to be a mistake in the Big East. People in Florida, not even Tampa care about USF. This will show and time will show that this is a mistake on the Big East's part.

USF is a community college, nothing more nothing less. They happened to get a break twice because of their market. A year that they are announced they are going to the Big East and they can't get more than 15,000 fans to their games (Their actual figure are skewed) and 500 to a basketball game. Pathetic just like the school.

The Big East will soon right their mistake by inviting ECU, Memphis, and Marshall. I believe that UCF could be the twelth team because of their proximity to USF.

USF has nothing and must make giant trides to attain something. They apparently have generated no interest in their athletic programs even after a Big East invite.

Marshall will NEVER be in the Big East.
