I know it's not really their home floor but every year one or both of those schools always opens in an arena in NC. sometimes it carries over to the second set of games for an easy route to the final four. UL almost never gets a nearby location to play. Now with YUM! Center in play somehow I can see UK getting the same UNC type treatment.

Its completely ridiculous. But the they'll sell tickets justification works well I guess.

Yes it sucks, but like Brista said they sell tickets and are ranked high just about every year whether its justified ranking or not.....Rupp hosts 1st/2nd rd next year again, so we should land there again next year.

I don't see why the city of Louisville doesn't put a bid on Freedom Hall for the opening rounds of the NCAA. At least every few years....Dispite being an old building it is still in good shape and could be a great way to keep UofL fans at home. Freedom Hall is just as good as Rupp arena....Lets spread the word to make this happen.

Never thought of that. Might work but FH was considered outdated as the reason the NCAA passed on it before.

I thought FH was to booked up in March every year to host one? Be nice if whatever events are there could move to Yum Center or elsewhere to free up Freedom Hall for tourney games, then we could play in our old home/own backyard.
