Normal allotment to visiting schools is usually 5,000. But visiting fans always find more tickets through friends, students, etc.
Any estimate on how many fans West Virginia brought to Dowdy-Ficklen in '08?? I'm thinking upwards of 10K.

Thanks, I think you answered what I was looking for. So going to 20,000 now might make sense, but we need to prove we can sell tickets during the first couple of FBS years before we bring out the cranes.
It's all about ticket demand within your own fanbase. ECU has been averaging between 20-23 thousand season tickets per year over the last 7 to 8 years. Obviously playing at home against say Va Tech is gonna be a bigger demand than say against SMU. That last few years we've been selling out a 50k stadium fairly consistantly.

As long as you have a number that you can allot 5k to us then it's probably fine. I don't know how many you want to be allotted for season tickets and how many you want to have available for students. As long as you guys have 5k to give us then I'm certain we'll be happy to play at your OCS.

Not sure, but we were at 43k for that game (before endzone). If your number were correct that means there would have only been 33k ECU fans. Seemed like we had a WHOLE lot more than that. Also remember we thought that we would be playing that game in a tropical storm.

Exactly. Its laughable to assume you already need 40k. Are there positives, sure. But those positives and negatives mean jack , until you put asses in seats.
I mean . I know East Carolina fans are ready to add on another 10k. But it is foolish to do the construction, until we are consistently filling 50k for a few more years.

Charlotte starting out with 15000 seats. 5000 will be season tix and if I'm not mistaken, 7500 will be for students. That won't leave many joe public tickets.

That leaves 2,500... plus ever how many additional seats are added along the concourse.
Sorry, Pirates. You're gonna have to deal with that. I'd be very angry if we played any conference home game at BOA stadium. Only way I'd be ok with it is if it was made a neutral site game every year... and common sense says that will never happen.

2500-5000 temp. seats per Chancellor is the current plan. That means we would start out 2013 with 17,800-20,300. This assumes they dont decide to do a larger addition to start, but remember he also said they will begin working with the architects immediately to determine the best way to add "additional seats, so it could change.

True. Before talking with the architects, our plan was to build a temporary stadium to begin with anyway.

C-USA rule state the home team must set aside 400 comp tickets plus 1600 tickets for the visting team.
Complimentary Tickets To Visiting Teams. The host institution shall provide the visiting institution with 400
complimentary tickets using its best efforts to provide the best seats available, and shall make 1600 tickets available for sale by
the visiting institution.

Ouch... that is going to be a tough ticket to get until charlotte ups their stadium i imagine. On the bright side, the game should get some pretty good tv ratings!
Looks similar to Rice's stadium. Sunken bowl with a second deck above ground level. Only Rice can seat over 70k. If you get similar sight lines in your stadium, it will be truly a great place to watch a game.

We'll gladly take your money! But I do hope we can sell out so the only tickets available are through the visiting team's allotment.

What about for basketball? Do you fans travel for that at all?
I really view you guys as a team on the rise for both basketball and football. I hope you can maintain the growth without losing coaches.
