Now that you guys are officially "back in CUSA", I wish you all the luck in the world and look forward to coming to your new stadium and kicking your ass!
04-cheers

I hope Marshall plays away in your 1st CUSA season so we can all travel like we used too. Lots of Green and White will be rolling down I-77

Two questions to the Charlotte folks:

1. Will the field be natural turf or field turf?

2. What is parking going to be like for games? I know yall have like 6 parking decks on campus, put some of them are a LONG hall from the stadium.

1) Artificial turf, Hallas Sports, Matrix Turf; same thing the Dallas Cowboys have.

2) Multiple locations. I published a map of on campus parking in a thread yesterday. They'll also probably be using the Kohl's parking lot across from the stadium site and maybe also using the Harris Tetter parking across NC 49. There's a greenway that runs right past the stadium that ends in that lot.

Field Turf

Parking in surface lots and all the decks on campus. Plenty of parking, some will require a walk up to ~10 minutes though.

Nothing says big time football like tailgating in a parking deck.

The parking will not be as difficult as you might think. Our campus is far more compact than most. We do not have interior roads and we often build up instead of out. It is a very walkable campus.

We did it at U of Toledo in 2000. We were at the very top. That was one of the msot memorable games in my Marshall history. We lost 42-0. They took all their pissed off aggression out on us that day on the field and in the stands. I had an old woman who looked to be 80 years old tell me to F_CK OFF in the consession stand line after I said excuse me.

We came back to our "tailgate" after the game and our grill had been kicked over and stomped in, flags broken off our cars, and several vehicals next to ours had been keyed. My buddy said thats what we get for tailgaiting in a parking garage. We called the U of Toledo police and they were completely pointless.

F Toledo.

Plenty of flat lots on campus and adjacent to campus to tailgate.

I know your campus well, visit it about 4 times a year. And for older folks the walk from your nearest parking deck will still be a haul, with hills.

There are 2 parking decks planned near the stadium. One will be completed soon and it is maybe 100 yards from the stadium.

Well, if you've visited our campus 4 times in the last year I'm not sure how you could have missed the one going up near the stadium since it has been under construction for the better part of the last year. 01-wingedeagle

Perhaps it wasn't tall enough to see when I was there. I was aware there was some construction going on up there behind the building above the baseball stadium. But I couldn't tell what it was. Saw the crane, but hell it could of been another classroom building for all I knew. My attention was kinda on the stadium anyway, okay? Sorry I don't measure up to what you think I should know about your campus's construction projects. I mean, Dayum!

Here is a map with approximate distances from surface lots to the stadium. Bare with me here. This is only my second time using photoshop and I'm still learning.

This does not include the additional lots being built. Lot 8 is a bit far away but it is huge and I have never seen it filled up.
