They had to call the game over on the run rule over VT. The opening round game they had was also ended on the run rule.

Looks like GT getting its own softball field took the program from lower Top 25 to serious contender.

GT is probably my favorite team going in to the ACC, mostly due to the fact of their reasonable, clear thinking folks on The Hive ( and that they are just as consumed by uniforms as Pitt fans - mirror image). Congratulations on the championship!

I'm a big fan of the Coliseum era navy tops they wore during the 1990 National Championship year. And The Hive is NOT one of our better assets. They purge divergent thinking about the program. I was banned for posting in a thread about firing Chan Gailey. Somebody said "Who do you suggest we get??" I then rattled off over 20 people who would be better. I was banned for that, presumably because I was hurting the program. Chan Gailey was fired the next day.











But they do lose something going to Russell's current style:
