Clemson Athletics release

Quote:Mike Bellamy, the second leading rusher on Clemson's 2011 ACC Championship team, will not return to Clemson for the 2012 season. The freshman from Nocatee, FL has been ruled academically ineligible for the fall semester and plans to enter a junior college this summer.

"I am proud of the improvements Mike Bellamy made in the spring semester in a number of areas," said Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney. "We gave him the opportunity to return to school in January and to grow as a player and a person and by all accounts from his teammates and coaches, he was doing well.

"But, in the end, he came up short academically. We wish him well and hope he can get back on track in the classroom and continue his football career at a junior college this fall.

Hope he does well in a JC and returns.

Honestly, he'll never wear a Clemson uniform again. It's very, very hard for a JUCO to get into Clemson.

Either way, hopefully he ends up playing D1A ball again. Just gotta put more work into the books.

lol..... I was going to make the same post.

This too, is being blamed on Swofford.

Clemson just lost a few rushing yards, but at least now they can hold on to the football... I call this one a wash.

Well, if y'all want him you can pick him up in a year or two out of Juco-ville. Might just take a free Dillard's shopping spree and it's shouldn't be too hard to keep him eligible in Tallahassee with those online music courses that were all the rage with FSU athletes a few years back.
