I keep hearing that....but neither have really earned their stripes in a basketball only conference. Perhaps the proof is in the pudding.

BTW, it's not just myself or other Clemson fans you have to prove anything to.....it's pretty much the entire college football nation.

Syracuse doesnt have to proove anything to Clemson fans. At the moment, Clemson is the better fb school, but the 2 schools have very similar histories. This fb thing is cyclical. In the 90's Syracuse was the better fb school.

Can't argue w/ that point... Pitt is in the middle of a 20 year terrible stretch. 03-wink

And sadly we got the private basketball school in our division.

Don't worry we'll help fill up your rinky dink arena.

The huge flaw in this ranking is that the FCS team on everyone's schedule is making up an enormous chunk of the points. Does anyone think there should be a 150pt difference between the best FCS team and the worst? You could have a schedule filled with top 20 teams and one horrible FCS school would negate that by this accounting method.

All FCS schools should be given a similar amount of points and points should really be broken down by tiers. Is the tenth ranked team really worth 10 times the points the first ranked team is?

Syracuse - USC (8), Mizzou (29), Northwestern (82) Minnesota (99), Stony Brook (127).

That'd put Syracuse at #7, bumping Arkansas and Boston College to #8. Plus you have to consider the fact that we have more OOC games.

If you average the five and multiply by 4 (#OOC games everyone else plays) you get a score of 276, good enough for 3rd!

8+29+82+99+127 = 345

345/5=69

69*4=276
