We are still bound by the BE regs. Still the same non-profit corporation. Name changed by amending the articles of incorporation...by laws would need to be voted on to change them. To my knowledge, they have not.

Damn, SMU, Tulsa and Houston accept partial qualifiers in CUSA
Love this kids size wil fit nicely with the current roster and with Strickland what a change with these two wide bodies to man the 5 spot for the next several years. Congrats to Mick and Coach Davis!
Originally signed with Detroit. Only averages 12 minutes a game. His coach says "He needs to play harder. Don’t take any possessions off." AND "“He’s in the developmental stage,” AND "“I’d like to see his motor get a little more consistent. He’s not overly active"

In Mick I'll trust but lots of red flags there.
To this point, I'm encouraged that he averaged like 9 pts per 12 minutes on the floor. There could be other factors at play here tho...
Well, hate to see another JUCO added but actually watching the videos he is a lot more than I expected. His defense looks really solid, offense of course needs work but in the video he actually makes a couple of legitimate big man moves which is more than I can say about Nyarsuk.
IMO this class was the one where Mick needed to make a big jump in recruiting, on the coat tails of the Lawrence signing, and start doing more with more instead of doing more with less like he has been.

Coach Eck at Hutch is a rely good coach, but keep in mind he has only been around Core for a mont this summer and has yet to coach I'm n a game. He knows what he wants and needs out of the big man so he is speaking more to that than actually having coached him to date...

Looks like he wants to camp out in the low post. Finishes with either hand. Finishes through defenders. Nice body with long arms. Seems a bit stiff and not overly athletic but looks like he can block a few shots. Most impressed by his willingness to stay down in the post and establish position.
Not saying he's a world beater but a guy who can finish in the post was what we have been lacking since Gates graduated.

Cincinnati and Seton Hall have recruited Linden's Quadri Moore the longest & hardest. I see a slight Bearcats edge heading down the stretch

Quadri (6-8 225) gets an impressive evaluation at ESPN.com. They give him 4* and rank him as the #8 C and #83 overall.
Rivals ranks him a 4* at #97 overall and lists him at 6-9 230 but says he's looking to be a 3 in terms of college position per a 7/19/13 article:
Quote:2014 Sports U (NJ) power forward Quadri Moore is attempting to be a three at the college level, but for now he is a stretch four. His rebounding and ability to move latterly on defense have improved. The schools who have offered him - Temple, Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Auburn, Miami and Wake Forest - are tracking him the hardest. His plan is to cut his list to 3 or 5 schools after July and take official visits from there.

Versatile big man Quadri Moore has narrowed his focus to six schools, Linden H.S. coach Phil Colicchio told Hoops Haven on Tuesday.
Those schools are: Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Temple, Rutgers, Wake Forest and Miami.
Although Colicchio didn’t explicitly say so, I believe that’s roughly the pecking order of where they stand right now.
Colicchio also reiterated what he told me in May: Cincinnati and Seton Hall have recruited the 6-foot-8 rising senior the hardest for the longest.

He's a 4-year player like Jamaree Strickland that will have time to come into his own unlike some of the JUCO guys recently. That alone makes me want him.
Hot off the press (or whatever the term is these days) from zagsblog:

Linden (N.J.) 2014 big man Quadri Moore has cut his list to four schools, his AAU coach told SNY.tv.
The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Moore is down to Seton Hall, Cincinnati, Wake Forest and Miami, Brian Coleman of Sports U said.
Marquette, Temple and Rutgers had previously been in the mix.
“He can only get five visits,” Coleman told SNY.tv Monday. “He wanted to cut it down and really get the process over with. He wants to take a look at these schools and get it done before the high school season.”
Moore will be setting up his official visits soon.
“Location doesn’t really matter, it’s not really a problem,” Moore told SNY.tv earlier this summer in terms of picking a school.
As for what he would bring to college, Moore said, “I think I’m starting to bring a lot of intensity to games and trying to be a leader. In college I’m not going to be an impactful leader coming in as a freshman. I’m working on it.”
