Several sources are reporting Swofford is meeting with Clemson tonight
Met with the President and BOT in a regularly scheduled meeting that Swofford supposedly invited himself to a while back.

Let the speculation begin.

I speculate that Swofford gets the piss beat out of him on the way back to his car.

Meh .. y'all forget that Swoff played football, as a LB if memory serves correct. He'd beat the "current ban" off CatDaddy. Then, ban him again.

I thought he was a QB at UNC?

According to TheACC.com,
Swofford was a high-school QB who played both QB and DB at UNC

Clemson beat writer has several quotes from Clemson president James Barker. All sound like someone who is very comfortable with the ACC

http://twitter.com/travis_sawchik

...reinforced our role with the ACC....shattering of myths and legends re: the ACC and Swofford...board asked any question they wanted....a professional exchange...questions were asked about ACC history and conference realignment.

RE: Several sources are reporting Swofford is meeting with Clemson tonight
local Clemson sports radio station makes it sound like Swofford came down to address the issue of whether he stuck Clemson with an extra year of probation back in the early 80's or not. He seemed surprised when asked about that in the Tigernet interview back on May 25th, 2012:

Quote:TN: I know you have heard about the purported role you played in Clemson’s extra year of probation in the early 80’s and read the story we ran on it. What is your response and did that surprise you?

JS: It did surprise. I had never heard that- ever- until I was doing an interview on the radio and the individual asked me about it and I honestly didn’t know what he was talking about until we finished the interview and I asked him, ‘what are you talking about? I don’t know what you are talking about.’ I don’t know how long that had been around, but I have never heard that before.

It seems like he wanted to clear the air about this.

I'm not surprised that the head man for the ACC is not up to date on the lasted bitching and moaning about him from an ACC fan base. I'd be more concerned if he was fully versed on the latest internet rumors and complaints. Hopefully he has more important things to deal with.

On the other hand, this particular B & M from Clemson fans has been going on for many, many years (so the fact that he never heard of it may imply that he has been too isolated maybe?)

That, or he's lying like a good politician would.
