Not true......when those teams were together, only Louisville was REALLY good, atleast consistently and Memphis at times. Most of the others were rarely good at bball.

You must have missed the years that va tech swept mem and louisville. In those days vt was the toughest place to play in the country. that league was a multiple bid league every year.

Cassell Coliseum was a weird place and you play in front of a group of students that have no limits to the things that they will throw at or yell at visiting players. When they had good players, they were very, very hard to beat at home. They knocked us out of a #1 ranking at their place.

Not true at all. The difference was that the NCAA tourney was at 32 teams. All of those teams were usually pretty good.

You must have missed the years that va tech swept mem and louisville. In those days vt was the toughest place to play in the country. that league was a multiple bid league every year.

VT had SOME good years (Dell Curry, etc. late 80s) but were nothing special most of the time.
