That's how the conference has been finishing. Multiple teams 11-25 with no one in the top 10. That's our problem and why we're viewed as being a weak league.

I was referring more to the ACC standings than the Overall Top 25. I'd of course prefer to have several top 10 teams (FSU, Clemson, VT this year??) and many more in the top 25. You're absolutely right.

RE: 247 Sports recruiting rankings.
While we still have a couple highly regarded prospects that we are awaiting decisions on, including a couple we would "oversign" for....we aren't going to move up all that much more because we are taking only around 20 recruits this year.
2014 will be about the same unless we have some attrition, or players declare early. I fully expect a little of both with the way the roster is slanted more towards sophs and freshmen this year.

I can understand why players are wavering on Pitt. But 60th in the Nation is pathetic even if we was still a BE team long term. I think after the wins start coming(hopefully) so will the recruits.

All 14 teams need to move up about 10 spots. Then we'd have a truly competitive football conference again.

True true... Pitt needs to move up around 35 slots at least.

Ok, I wasn't gonna dog you like that, but YES - 60th is pitiful.

I listed the schools by average player ratings. Pitt is severely hurt by having a kicker and punter in the class. By 247's point system Pitt is ranked 43rd.
The reason I listed it by average player rating is because their point system is screwed up right now. Oregon has 8 commits, four 4* and four 3*, with an average player rating of 89.63. Yet they're ranked 74th in the nation. Stanford has 7 commits, four 4* three 3*, average player rating of 90.57. They're 80th in the nation. Etc.

I don't see how you consider that screwed up. If Stanford had 8 commits like Oregon and still had the lead in the average rating column, they'd be ahead of Oregon. Like basically EVERY recruiting rating, they take into consideration both class SIZE and class AVERAGE.

It'll be a few years at least before Miami finishes that high. Jmo.

Man to me it doesn't matter. Either way Pitt's class is sub par and not good enough esp with us about to join the ACC. A LOT can happen between now and February though.
