LOL. Correct i was better off 12 years ago. It has been a downward spiral and dont think either candidate has a real plan to change the way the country is headed

USA is in a Japan-style decade of flat to no growth--this won't settle out until 2020. Obama, Romney, even Ron Paul wouldn't change that.

Can't believe no body figured this out.

You nailed it. 04-cheers

Unfortunately, people take from it whatever suits their party, or their belief system. Hence, every crackpot liberal out there will feast on this because it's fodder to distract from the piss poor performance of Obama. Poor decision by the Romney staff to allow that, and I feel a bit sorry for Clint Eastwood. He hasn't been the same since Clyde died.

Where you dissapointed by the previous 8? I have been dissapointed for 12. Sadly i see neither candidate changing that in the next 4.

I'll agree with that.

Voting for niether of these clowns, but the eastwood thing was a rediculous way to end the RNC and its a shame a presidential nominee followed that.

I'm far better off now than i was 4 years ago, but it has nothing to do with whos president.

Can you (as a mod) move this political thread (started by a Democrat about the GOP Convention) to its rightful place?

Thanks....as with a national election coming up in Nov...if threads like this are always going to be allowed, this board will go downhill faster than a $20 bill on the stage at Mons Venus.

There is nothing more Republican than a rich, old white guy ranting about something imaginary.

It was a political issue...empty suit..etc...etc...picked up on that but it was ridiculous....if a Democratic leanimg actor did the same to a Republican President would have felt the same.

Clint performance "Bigfooted" Romney speech and if you saw Anne Romney this morning you saw a very ticked off lady becaise of that reason.

I thought both were pretty funny, and done more tongue in cheek than anything else. It's good to see some humor for a change in political campaigns...

Yup...the only issue is that it appears that Clint skit has overshadowed the message Romney tried to get through...it appears he got no bounce in the polls so far.

It's not Clint's fault the Republicans have poor taste in candidates. Of course, the Democrats choice isn't much better, truth be told. It's a pity there isn't a "Someone Else" option on the ballet this year...

The Snoopy/Mickey Mouse ticket is sounding better every day...

I might even consider Bill the Cat and Opus.
