Evidently from what the press conference is saying the way to land ND is to drop your pants, bend over, and grab your ankles.

If you thought the ACC was bad before you're about to go through the roof. It's always been this way with ND.

I wonder what Cat_daddy would do if ND insisted the Clemson home game vs. ND be played at a neutral site? 04-nuke

And I would have his back 110%. If they try to do this to Pitt I will have an epic meltdown.

I'd have more money to spend on my high school booster club, because Barker & Co would fall all over themselves to appease the ACC.

I agree with ndlutz. Decision to play at a neutral site should be up to the school, not ND (yeah, right!)

Apparently the 4 games Cuse will be playing ND over the next 5 years will count in the 5 per year.

So Cuse's 4 games every 12 years will be played the next 4 years. That's kind of good, in that they get some of there games up front but bad that they won't play ND again until 2026.

It better work that way or the rotation stuff will be pure crap and ND will skate yet again. The teams agreed to see ND every 3 years at least. If Cuse plays them more, then that agreement would already be void.

Well see how it plays out...of course you don't want to play northern teams anyway so why do you care?

*bad/bland Northern teams

I don't greatly anticipate the ND games at all to be honest. FSU scheduled them in the past and they could have in the future. This only helps teams ND wouldn't ever schedule in getting to play ND.

But they have to be held to this 5 game rotation. That is really the only thing the ACC got out of this deal.

It's a minimum of 5 ACC games, and one game against every school every 3 years.

Assume that ND keeps its traditional yearly Pitt and BC games, then ND would be playing at least 6 ACC teams ever year (pitt, bc, and then 1/3rd of the remaining 12 - 1+1+4=6).

Also, do all 4 SU games against ND count, or do only 2 of them count (the games in year 1, and year 4)? Because ND is allowed as many as 7 (maybe 8, but i Think 7) ACC games a year, so they could play Pitt, SU, BC, and 4 ACC schools 2 of those years without violating the contract.

I expect ND to play only 5 ACC teams a year. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised and they will move to a fuller ACC schedule.

Swofford made a point of saying each ACC team will play ND every 3 years. He didn't say on average they'll play them every 3 years. I expect BC Pitt and Cuse will have to adjust there schedules to meet the ACC's scheduleing criteria. And that was very generous of those schools to be willing to do that to get ND in the conference.
