That makes up for the horrible no call on offensive PI last time.

Syracuse player channeling Georgia Tech's kickoff unit in the Miami game. Real incompetence is the self-safety ... Syracuse needs to up their fail game if they want to stink as bad as GT.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Not to mention the old man looks like something from a low budget horror movie.

Interesting stat I just learned. Clemson has scored on 22 of 23 red zone opportunities this season. The only time we did not score in the red zone was when we took a knee to end the game last week.

I'll be in the visiting side 40-yd line. IPTAY section. I'll be rooting most strongly for a new defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. We have lots of key players coming back from injury this week. I would not at all be shocked if we win, simply because this conference stinks at football, and I can think of no way to further stink it up worse than a Clemson loss. And betting against the ACC's football image is usually a very strong bet. If we win that's just that much more of a SCATHING indictment of our coaching staff. But if I had to guess ... I'd wager Clemson wins late on an improbable drive. That's been the standard operating procedure for this team. Just good enough to give you hope. Just bad enough to never give you confidence but give you more gray hair.

I expect it will be a close game. Like it usually is. Neither team seems to want to play defense, so it may be another one of those cases where the last team to have the ball wins.

Of course the way that works we might see a 14-10 game.

Well, Syracuse gets it's first FBS win of the season, so congrats.

Pitt fans...is Sunseri really your best option at QB?

Unfortunately yes Tino is our best option. But right now, he's the least of my worries. Our OL looked like garbage, and Graham looking like he was trying to hard to bust a big play.

No doubt.

Side note...one of the kids who plays on my youngest son's team wore pink socks and a pink towel in their game the other night. Someone asked his mom about it and with tears in her eyes she said he did it on his own because she is a breast cancer survivor. Pretty awesome coming from an 11 year old.

Yeah, there were times Graham could have turned the ball upfield and likely extended drives, but bounced outside trying to break the big play. That's something you expect from a freshman, not a senior.

Sad news out of the SC High School ranks. A Hartsville player, Ronald Rouse, collapsed during the game and has died.

Trying to find out more details because a few years back when I was coaching travel softball we had a friendly rivalry with a team from Hartsville. We faced them in 7 out of 8 championship games we played in that year, and we even went on to play scrimmages against each other in the fall. One of the scrimmages we swapped teams.....the Lexington coaches took the Hartsville team and the Hartsville coaches coached Lexington. One of the coaches on their staff was named Rouse. Hoping and praying it wasn't his son, who would be about that age.

Apparently there were huge traffic problems. The crowd looked a lot better by the middle of the first quarter. Official announced attendance was 40,394.
