2 New Big East Teams play tonight (Thursday): Houston at SMU
Preview from UCFSports.com:

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18
Houston (3-3, 2-0) at SMU (2-4, 1-1) - 8 p.m., Fox Sports Net

THE BUZZ: Things are falling apart at SMU after the Mustangs lost to awful Tulane last week, which makes June Jones' hotseat even hotter. SMU boosters were already upset with Jones after his flirtation with the Arizona State job last offseason. Meanwhile, Houston is in a rebound as winners of three straight and could perhaps be a challenger to Tulsa in the West after all.
THE LINE: Houston by 5

Lets see, Oregon-Az St on ESPN, 49ers-Seahawks on NFL network, or SMU-Houston on some obscure Fox sports directional channel. Tough call.

Not really for college fans, especially CUSA fans...as Houston is currently undefeated in conf play...and if they win, it will help set up a showdown for their future game vs Tulsa (now 4-0 in conf play), as the winner of that game will probably have inside track of CUSA West Title and possibly home-field advantage for CUSA Championship Game.

Also, for some Big East fans...this might be the first time they've seen SMU or Houston play...and/or what SMU's beautiful Ford Stadium looks like.

Fortunately for nBe fans, nothing will be impeding our view of the bleachers, so we can see Ford Stadium in all its glory. 05-stirthepot

Case in point why Thursday night games are bad, bad ideas.

Ill flip back and forth between this game and the ASU game. Local kid plays QB for those guys and I hate the ducks so there is some interest for me there.

The offense of the Coogs is really starting to come to form! Piland is no Keenum but he's finally starting to grow into the role of QB for one of the storied offensive programs in college football history.

That said, I expect the Ponies to put up a whale of a fight.

Time to go chubby chasing in Houston

Spring ranked a top spot for plus-sized singles looking for love
By Dana Guthrie | Wednesday, October 17, 2012 | Updated: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 6:28pm

Plus-sized singles need not worry about finding a date if they live in Spring.

Single men and women who identify themselves as “big and beautiful” on the 50-plus dating site OurTime.com are in high demand here, according to a survey conducted by the site.

“To calculate the ranking, the dating site examined internal user data to determine which U.S. cities its members who identified their body type as “big and beautiful” were getting messaged and flirted with the most,” OurTime said in a news release on Wednesday.

The site said the ranking “should come as no surprise given that ‘everything’s bigger in Texas.’”

SMU has lost three defensive backs for the season and Houston has the passing attack going well. I'll be there, hoping for a good result. But with the injuries and June Jones, I don't have a good feeling about this one.

If SMU gets a new coach and can stay healthy, this game should be very competitive in the future.

Even though Houston is favored to win this one, I think SMU will be a tough opponent. Sure, we've won our last three games, but they've all been in Houston. SMU will not lie down for this game either.

It's going to be a great nBE game. I really wanted to make it to Dallas, but just could not put it together for a weeknight game. Like both programs a lot, but gotta root Coogs!
