Democratic solution: Let these two factions continue butting heads and losing elections.

I'd rather lose than vote for someone that allows the unborn to be killed...

And libertarians would rather lose than cop to the fact the Fed is not going anywhere..

+1..........50 million killed since 1973 and its just another day in Mr Rogers neighborhood. That IS the world we live in today.

BTW, this election was a HUGE win for the left. It is as big a win as RR in 1980 and maybe bigger. They kept the White House and picked up 3 senate seats all during a weak economic period with high unemployment. Im not sure the power of the welfare state can be slowed down or stopped from here.

Welfare state has been here for 50 years. It never was going anywhere.

If this election does not wake up republicans to the realization that they are on the wrong track, what will it take?

No ****. I hope they take some notes. Stay away from the gay stuff; and find a way to talk about Hispanics where you don't sound like you think they are all criminals without giving up your principles.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

You can't compete with what the left is doing. The only way to do it is promise more free **** than they do.

It's sad people who vote for the left cant realize what they are cheering for is destruction.

What Romney said about 47% of the population was spot on and everyone knows it.

I didn't have a chance to respond to this in the PR last night.

Exactly how or what do you say to them to get their vote and at the same time tell their relatives to gtfo and we are not going to give you ILLEGAL(law breaking) people goodies

Not pushing though laws that allow law enforcement to stop and demand papers from those that "appear" to be illegal is a start. Those laws are (a) largely ineffective, and (b) end up ******* with a lot more actual law abiding citizens than any illegals. If you want to fight illegal immigration, go after the employers who pay them. It's more effective and doesn't classify 15% of our citizens as possible criminals.

aTx that's what doesn't make sense.. this election Romney Ran with the fact that he's a second-generation immigrant. He NEVER blasted Hispanics. He pointed out the strong religious and FAMILY ties that the Hispanic voters have.

He promised MASSIVE immigration reform without throwing illegals out of the country. (it was one of the big differences conservative voters had with him.)

He never bad mouthed the hispanic voter, yet again, he lost the majority of the non-Cuban hispanic vote.

What more did he have to do to win the minds of the Hispanic voters? The argument you're making just doesn't make sense.

He came out in favor of the AZ and AL immigration bills and went to the right of Perry on immigration in the primaries. On top of that, the GOP's brand on immigration, fairly or unfairly, gets placed on his head. That brand image needs to change.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
I don't think immigration has much to do with it at all. Romney got a better hispanic vote than McCain but that's not saying much really. Again the bigger issue with the GOP is women and young voters. Romney did better with women than McCain but the GOP senate candidates killed him with their ridiculous comments. The young vote was up 1 pct last night over 2008 - maybe that's just America's demographics but it also could be that young voters saw they made a difference in 2008 and wanted to be difference makers in 2012 again.

The GOP has to nominate a younger candidate in 2016, plain and simple.

So the person who voted for Obama to preserve Obamacare because she has a pre existing condition and can't find coverage without it, needs to realize she is cheering for destruction?

So the mother of a child with a severe illness who is at risk of insurance companies reinstating lifetime benefit caps that will prevent her child from receiving treatment if Obamacare is repealed, also needs to realize she is cheering for destruction?

There were many thousands of desperate people literally at risk of dying if Romney is elected and Obamacare repealed. That's destruction worth worrying about.

Conservatives seem to have this idea that Obama is giving away smartphones and Ferraris, instead of aid like foodstamps under programs already in place when he came into office and a healthcare under a program signed into law by the guy they just voted for less than 24 hours ago.

You can cherry pick examples and I can give you data... In the US the cancer survival rate is higher than most socialized nations...
