And I trust Wilner's connections, too...

I hope FSU is on board with this...

ACC wants to move quickly and Louisville is already receiving a lot of support. Way more optimistic than I was Saturday. We have a shot.

please be true... I'm begging Tobacco Road to chill w/ academic snobbery and add Louisville...

I don't wish ill will on UConn, but Louisville is a true prize. ACC would be foolish not to add them.

Swofford has 2 choices:

add Louisville

or dissolve the ACC

RE: UConn to ACC as early as tomorrow
I can stomach Louisville, Cincy and UConn if there is some sort of pod system created where we won't have to play as many northern teams yearly.

I think we'll eventually need the numbers. UCF and USF would be there to replace any Southern schools leaving. I have a suspicion this will become about setting up the best conference for the remaining members. I just can't see everyone staying put long term.

I honestly can't see where Swofford would get the votes. He needs 11 votes to add somebody.

Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Virginia Tech aint going to be voting for UCONN. Swofford needs to pick off TWO of the former listed to pull off UCONN and hold everybody else. Not a chance in hell.

question would be in turn, does Swofford have the votes to get Louisville in?

I can see Duke and UNC being against it. Everybody I listed above being for it ... and everybody else being varying degrees of sympathetic toward UofL over UCONN.

I wouldn't put it past the spineless James Barker to support UConn. Thus far he has done everything to the opposite of what is in Clemson's best interests.

Also, you forgot BC voting against.

UConn doesn't have the votes today.

Re: Louisville -- I'm pretty safe in betting $20 that Duke, Carolina and Virginia are "no", but as long as noone else turns, the Cardinals may have the votes.

Same goes for Cincinnati, and from what I've heard/read, they are academically more appealing than Louisville.

If Navy comes up for a vote, Navy is in -- just pray that doesn't come to that.
