a10 PROBABLY

CAA probably, they're hurting for teams right now.

If I had to guess, we'd return to our roots in either the CAA or (gulp) Southern.

Just stop playing other sports. You dont need them in the big least.

CAA needs teams. UNCW AD and Chancellor are head of key committees in the CAA. UNCW would love to have another regional rivalry (back) along with the, most likely, joining CoC.

I would be very surprised if ECU did not join the CAA for olympic sports

Doubtful. The A-10 is a solid basketball conference. No need to add ECU, especially since they'd jump to any other conference in a heart beat.

Yup. I would be shocked if Yeager wasn't on his way to Greenville right now.

I would also think CAA is where ECU other's sports find a home. Since the CAA lost ODU to CUSA; GSU to the Sunbelt and VCU to The A-10; it needs a school.

ECU football only? Wow....big mistake IMO.

A10 needs to replace uncc and keep nc market.

I'm hoping A10 but expecting CAA. If it's anything lower than the CAA it's stupidity.

The A10 is a basketball oriented conference. ECU is historically terrible in basketball, so I think the move to CAA would make more sense.

CAA would seem most likely followed by SoCon or Big South. Big South would be a big hit to ECU, but we knew they were willing to sacrifice the other sports for FB in the first place. CAA will be a good home for them.

A10 isn't happening, Big South and SoCon wouldn't take Charlotte fball only, doubt they take someone for just olympic sports. CAA makes the most sense.

It's the Big South or CAA in my opinion. Not sure the southern will take on a big public university unless all sports are a part of the deal (thats what they told Charlotte anyway).

I don't know what the relationship was like between ECU and the CAA when ECU left, but if it was good, then I imagine they'll be invited back. If not, then Big South it is.

Charlotte and Temple leaving A10 was filled with Butler and VCU. I don't think they have a spot for ECU, and I'm not trying to stir the pot here, but why would a basketball dominant conference want ECU?

Actually there are very strong rumors that it will be the A-10 but it will not be announced tonight as the details are still being worked out. If this is the case it is a win / win on both fronts. Better football and a better other sports league with less travel.

We shall see but hearing A-10 is a real possibility.

I wonder how ODU and Charlotte are feeling right now? I kinda feel bad for those schools..

No worries here man, the shake up isn't finished. We are just excited to be playing football next year
