After the ACC raids the Big East, the BB schools will break away and Boise & San Diego St will probably go back to MWC

Very possible.

Then the Big East will really be the old C-USA. The new Big East will lose its name to the basketball folks. We will become something else. C-USA will still be C-USA but look mostly like the Sun Belt and some group of current FCS schools.

Basically most everyone would take a step up, which in turn would put everyone back in their original seat. There are very very few winners, and none outside of the top four conferences.

So exactly how will the BB schools take the BE name if they're the one's that want to leave???

Does ECU have to put their other sports in a conference and wait until that happens (and pay more exit fees)?

It would be horrific if the western schools stay out west in thw MWC, the BE gets raided of 3 teams, and USM still gets left out or has to "anchor" the new sunbelt. Puking now

I believe the basketball schools have the rights to the name "Big East."

What are exit fees like in the FCS/non-football world? I am sure whatever conference we went to, would understand it isn't a long-term situation (I assume). Just a, "lets get handsy for a weekend" type deal.

That's respectful. Football only was a slap in the face especially when you look at these other schools getting in with all sports. In fact it was a down right JOKE. I'm sure ECU told them how it was and they accepted.

Until July 2013 when Memphis and the TV Markets join the 7 Big East schools control everything as they have for years with their majority vote. They can vote on anything and the rest of the schools like Louisville, USF, UConN, and Cincinatti can't do anything about it. Majority rules and the hoops schools are the BMOC.

they will make more money with us, than without us...at least IMHO...with UL, UC, Memphis, and Temple...it's not like we don't offer them anything basketball wise.

Not sure.

What is the exit fees for ECU leaving CUSA? I'm guessing its 6-7 Million like UCF has to pay? And I guess you guys will be investing another couple Million to join whats left of the Big East? What is the entry fee for that? 4-5 Million?

RE: Brett McMurphy: Rest of ECU sports to join Big East after ACC raid
Ive hear alot of people say we will park in the CAA and have heard A-10. I don't think ECU is a very attractive brand for either of them in Basketball. I have a feeling we will get SoConn, unless we somehow miraculously get all sports for Big East.
