Best of luck to all the nBE members.
I wish you all the best and hope that our slightly tight-nit group doesn't take the defections too harshly. It's all about $$ and all of our universities would've done the same thing. We've all got some history, and hope to play everyone from the old conference in the future, which I'd bet happens more times than less. The new members of CUSA, I'm excited to make new history and rivalries with, I think they could grow to be a bunch of fun. Will miss the previous CUSA, which is, by and large the nBE, but life moves on, and so will we all. Time will tell whether these moves are better, or shortsighted, personally, I haven't a clue which will happen. It's been an honor being in the same conference w/ all the defectors, and I understand why you all felt this new CUSA(adding MU and UCF, losing the old guard) wasn't what it was, but for some of us, it was pretty good, despite our own school's warts. GL, and hope to see most of you in the future.

Lots of good stuff in your comments Von-Bek.

CUSA as it was revised in 2003-2004 is a really fun group of programs and a group that had the best interest of CUSA as a major priority. There wasn't a "stinker" in the group. That shared interest doesn't exist in many conferences. It's sad, but when the big guys move their kings and queens on the board, the smaller guys shuffle their pawns as best they can.

Good luck to the Thundering Herd and the large group of passionate fans that you guys have.

+2 my friend. CUSA will be alright as the journey continues. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for CUSA and pulling for the schools to compete and do well no matter where ECU is. I hope we have Marshall / USM especially on future schedules.
