RE: boise and sdsu moves?
I wonder that myself, but I guess that being in the MWC must be just that much worse.

At this point you can't even rule UTEP out of the BE, because apparently the BE is going to 16 teams now. And if the BE picked up Tulane, then you just know that they realize that there are lots of people that live in El Paso.

RE: boise and sdsu moves?
The new TV deal will still dwarf the 700k the MWC gets. Is our deal going to get us in the teens all sports?? I doubt it now. But 6 to 8 mil is still very do able. Bottom line is the BE is still the only product available with a few carriers needing it. Is Boise really better off making 700k rather than 3.5 to 5 mil?? Esp if we bring in another west school that plays in Big West.

1st, nobody knows what the TV deal will be.

2nd, Boise and SDSU ADs already came out yesterday and said they were full on board with the nBE.

Not sure how the TV deal should be all that much better than what C-USA has now because....the BE is essentially C-USA.

shocker, you're looking at 3 million at the most for all sports per team, I dont think BSU will stay around for that. you can build around sdsu, they have pretty much killed their athletic program .

They won't go back to Mt West with MT Channel gone and SDSU not following them. 3 million would still gloat over 800k.

If they add Fresno the MW is toast.

What we really need is the Supreme Court to torpedo ESPN.

CUSA will remain the 11th ranked football conference until a 12th football conference is formed. How can you "hurt" CUSA it's already dead

You should want though, less barriers to entry in College Football TV markets.

tv markets suck. otherwise, houston would average 356,123 in attendance, but nobody in houston cares about the university of houston

Sure the TV contract is lower, but they'll also be missing out on NCAA tournament revenue. The Big West will likely be a 1 bid conference most years while the MWC has enough solid teams in it to get 3 and maybe sometimes 4. Getting an at-large out of the Big West will be a lot harder and that can cost a school a lot of money.
