As you now know, we don't wield that much power. Talking local media heads like to pit us against the ULX'ers, but maybe now you'll see they just like to .

Tim Fletcher (KTBS Shreveport) tweeting that all is not as it seems and that Indy Bowl played hard ball by trying to force LA Tech to accept yesterday. LA Tech said not at this time. When Tech went back to Indy Bowl today, Indy Bowl said no.

Everything I've heard is that it was an either/or situation. ULM/Tech is a bad game for ESPN. Also you have to realize that the Indy Bowl people are more about the economic effect than any other bowl in the country. Does anyone really think that a ULM/Tech game would fill any hotels?

It is very sad for the players. RustonCAT, you are such an informed poser. Iowa State going to the Liberty absolutely shows that we were in play for that game. Hopes were on NIU not jumping in the top 16, and both Oklahoma and K-State going BCS. NIU making it in pushes all of the Big 12 down a spot and removes us from contention.

I would love to see the Tech AD explain to the players that they do not get to go to a bowl because the athletic department was afraid they might lose to ULM.

People are going to be talking about this for years. Even if it isn't true..many will be saying "remember that year when LaTech chickened out of playing ULM in the Indy bowl... so they stayed home instead."

Really bad move by LaTech officials here, someone should be scared about losing their job for this mistake IMO.

Maybe MTSU should not have announced it was going to CUSA so fast.

At the same time.....TROY got left out of the bowls in 2007 with a 8-4 Record
